Description

These cast bronze gates desigend by the artist Wendy Ramshaw were commissioned for Hyde Park in London, and cantilever over 5m from their supporting gate post, weighing over 2 tonnes a piece. The gates are hydraulically operated with very a small margin for tolerance and so the complex, abstract and filigree form was assessed and adapted to ensure no additional unsightly stiffening was required.
